Bulbs used - 20 watt halogen bulb
The size of transformer you need depends on the number of lights you require. The combined wattage of all the lights bulbs should be equal or less than the wattage of the transformer. For example our 60 watt transformer will take 3 x 20 watt uplights, our 150 watt transformer 7 x 20 watt uplights etc etc.

Choose the number of & style of lights you require
Choose the transformer required for the number of lights and total wattage as above
Calculate the length of cable required from plug to end light. Transformers above 150 watts can carry more than one cable - see individual transformer.
Accordingly calculate the number of connectors required.
