What's on at Webbs 2008

Photography Competition

For the fourth year running we are again searching for wonderful photographs of
flowers, gardens and garden scenes to be made into the Webbs 2009 Calendar,
produced in aid of our 3 nominated charities Acorns, St Richards and Primrose Hospices.
Judging will take place in July and the 12 winning entries will be featured in the calendar, with each winning photographer credited.
 
The competition is open to everyone, amateur or enthusiast, young or old, so get snapping! Entry forms available in-store or click here.
 
Walk 'n' Talks
 
Beginning with tea/coffee & shortbread, enjoy an exclusive seasonal guided tour around our Riverside & New Wave Gardens with our Grounds team. Prompt 9.30am start, ending at midday.

Tickets cost £10 for Garden Club members and £12 for all others.

· Wednesday 8th October: Autumn Amble
 
Tea 'n' Talks
Our programme of talks by our gardening expert are guaranteed to inspire and educate.
Talks, with tea/coffee & shortbread begin at 9.15am for a prompt 9.30am start and last for one hour.
 
Tickets cost £5 for Garden Club members and £6 for others.

Half-term fun at Webbs: Tuesday 27th May - Friday 30th May 2008

Balloon fun with Professor Pepperpot: 10am – 3pm FREE

Riverside Ramble: pick up an entry form from our Reception Desk and find the answers to the questions in the Riverside Gardens. Everyone who returns a completed entry form to our Reception Desk will receive a free prize. 10am – 5pm FREE

Face painting: 10am – 3pm (£2 per child)

Fair rides: Have fun on some favourite rides for youngsters: £1.50 per ride (this activity is
weather dependant) 11am - 4pm

Please note: An adult must accompany children at all times.

Sunday 1st June: Community Heroes Day

In conjunction with Bromsgrove Rotary Club, this is your chance to meet the people and learn more about the work of those who risk their lives to protect our community.

Representatives from the RNLI, County Air Ambulance, Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service, USAR (Urban Search and Rescue), West Midlands Ambulance Service, H.A.R.T., West Mercia Constabulary, Mercia Inshore Search and Rescue, Severn Freewheelers and First Responders will all be here.

11am – 4pm

Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June: Perry Barr Greyhound Awareness Roadshow
 
Chat to the volunteers and find out if you would like to adopt a retired greyhound. 11am-4pm
 
Sunday 13th July: Family Fun Day
 
Fun and entertainment for all the family, including the final of the 2008 schools Kids’ Plant Growing Competition. 11am – 4pm
 
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July: Hall Green Greyhound Awareness Roadshow
 
Chat to the volunteers and find out if you would like to adopt a retired greyhound. 11am-4pm

Sunday 24th August: 13th Annual Motor Show
