We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Butcher to join our butchery concession at our Wychbold garden centre.
The successful candidate will have:
- great customer care and technical butchery skills; and
- a detailed understanding of retail butchery, gained over at least 2 years.
Reporting directly to the Butchery Manager the role involves working as part of the team in a hands-on capacity to prepare and cut meat and poultry.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Create inspiring, innovative, seasonally changing displays.
- Ensure self-serve displays in chillers are attractive and shoppable.
- Share product information with the team and with customers.
- Fulfil all trade standards legislation.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene (being trained/willing to train to at least Food Hygiene Level 2).
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across the wider Webbs teams.
- Participate in stocktakes, meetings and training as required.
This is a full time and permanent position, working up to 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota. This involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (you would work 4 days one week and have one weekday plus the weekend off, then you work 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).
