We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our restaurant team at our garden centre restaurant in West Hagley.
Duties include:
- Supporting the Kitchen Team Leader with basic food preparation: breakfast, lunch, snacks and baked goods.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen. Following food handling and hygiene procedures. Keeping work surfaces clean to avoid cross contamination.
- Assist with stock control, rotate foods, and monitor use by dates.
- Sorting utensils and crockery. Putting this through the dishwasher and returning it to the restaurant areas to meet customer demand. Some washing up by hand is also required.
You don’t need to have lots of experience in the kitchen. We’ll provide you with the necessary training. You do need to have a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for food.
Work is fast paced and physically demanding and so a good level of physical fitness is required. Experience of manual handling and the ability to lift and move cutlery/crockery trays.
This is a zero hours role with a good work life balance. Include working weekends. No antisocial/evening hours or split shifts.
