We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser to join our Food Hall team at our Wychbold garden centre restaurant.
 
The role is to assist the retail team with stock receiving, movement and coordination, to enable the team to focus on a high-quality food offering and exceptional customer experience.
 
Duties include:
  • Ensuring food reaches the shop floor. Stock is full, rotated, neat and is processed accurately and on time in line with agreed processes and suppliers.
  • Ensuring stock security is in line with company procedure and adheres to all relevant food, health & safety legislation, and company systems.
  • Working closely with the Finance team to ensure all invoices and information is recorded and updated.
  • Minimising stock loss and short delivery.
  • All environmental health and food safety requirements are adhered to in front and back of house areas, using the systems provided.
  • Ensuring seasonal displays are full and ready to shop.
  • Ensuring the area is safe for colleagues, guests and visitors with an audit trail of health and safety checks and proactive actions to minimise risks.
  • Being flexible in outlook to work duties and work locations, to assist in other areas of the business as required.
 
The successful candidate will have:
  • Previous retail and merchandising experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT competent and experience of an EPOS system such as BC365 would be advantageous.
  • Be able to multi-task and plan own workload effectively.
  • Minimum level 2 Food Safety.
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Capable of physically move large stock items.
 
This is a fixed term contract commencing Mid-October 2025 until 31 December 2025.
 
Working 24 hours per week: Monday 9:30am to 4pm, Wednesday 9:30am to 4pm, Friday 9:30am to 4pm and Saturday 8.00am to 2pm.   
 
The role is based at our store in Wychbold and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
