We are seeking a strong people manager, who has exceptional warehousing experience and a diligent process control way of thinking using a combination of mobile and digital technology to drive productivity improvements and stock accuracy.
 
The successful candidate will have responsibility overseeing the warehouse department, as well as working closely with our e-commerce and other store teams driving improvements in both goods in and out processes. Skill and experience requirements are as follows:
 

  • well organised planner with an understanding of warehouse management principles;
  • strong focus on continuous improvement and ideally LEAN management trained;
  • ability to learn quickly and experience of putting new procedures in place to improve service to internal and external customers, stock accuracy and process efficiency;
  • confident leader and able to delegate tasks, motivate individuals and improve team performance;
  • experience of transport planning, knowledge of legal transport requirements (OLAT, CPC etc) and experience of working with external couriers
  • excellent customer focus;
  • administratively strong and IT literate;
  • qualified FLT driver
  • good understanding of health and safety
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

 
This is a full time and permanent position, working on average 39.5 hours per week on a 2-week rota. This involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (you would work 4 days one week and have one weekday plus the weekend off, then you work 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).
