Spring has arrived, and Webbs invites families to celebrate the season of awakening and renewal.  Inspired by nature’s rhythms and age-old traditions, our Ostara Spring Festival is a gentle celebration of creativity, wellbeing, and connection - a chance for children and families to enjoy the beauty of spring and discover moments of everyday wonder.  

Our family-focused festival features a choice of hands-on activities and seasonal experiences, including:

  • Children's storytime

  • Creative craft workshops

  • Garden egg hunts

  • Visits from Ostara, the Goddess of Spring, and the Easter Hare

Little Explorers' Garden Egg Hunt

Date: Tuesday 31st March - Monday 6th April (Closed on Easter Sunday)
Time: Tuesday 31st March & Wednesday 1st April: 11:00 am, 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm
Thursday 2nd April - Monday 6th April: 10:00 am, 12:00pm & 2:00pm

Little explorers can discover hidden eggs nestled around the Riverside Gardens and exchange their finds for a mini chocolate treat. A simple, joyful outdoor activity that brings a touch of spring magic to the day. Keep your eyes peeled for the special Gold Egg for an extra reward! 

Ostara The Goddess of Spring and The Easter Hare will also be roaming the gardens ready to meet children.

Children's Storytime sessions 
Time: 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Date: Tuesday, 31st March & Wednesday, 1st April
Price: Free - pre-booking required

Join our storytellers in our heated tipis by The Riverside Gardens, for a magical morning of songs and seasonal stories, with Helen on Tuesday and Nikki on Wednesday. Inspired by spring and themes of renewal and togetherness, storytime sessions are a gentle, joyful way for little ones to start the day.

Children's Easter Tree Workshop
Time: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Price: £25

Little ones can get creative in our Easter Tree Workshop, decorating branches with pretty eggs, ribbons, and tiny ornaments. Children will also plant spring bulbs around the base, creating a living Easter tree to take home and watch bloom over the coming weeks.  

This hands-on activity, led by local floral designer Anna Brian, combines crafting, gardening and seasonal fun, giving children a sense of pride and a beautiful reminder of spring to enjoy long after the festival. Suitable for children aged 6+ with adult supervision.

Refreshments included (squash for littles ones and a glass of fizz for their grown up).

Book Easter Tree Workshop

Children's Flower Crown Workshop
Time: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Price: £20

Led by local florist, Anna Brian, children can make their very own springtime flower-crown headbands, using real spring flowers, greenery and seasonal decorative elements. With guidance and a little adult assistance, children can weave and arrange blooms to create a colourful, wearable creation to take home. Suitable for children aged 6+ (with adult supervision). 

Refreshments included (squash for littles ones and a glass of fizz for their grown up).

Meet Ostara & the Easter Hare
Free / no booking required
Meet Ostara, the Goddess of Spring and the Easter Hare for some fun family photo opportunities. They will be roaming in and around the egg hunts. 
 

Marshmallow toasting & seasonal treats
Pay for marshmallows at the hut / no booking required
Visit the food hut for sweet and savoury options and gather around the firepit to enjoy marshmallow toasting and hot cross buns together. 

 

Easter alter
Free / no booking required
Children can add a flower, egg, or small decoration to the Easter altar, helping to create a colourful, shared display. It’s a simple, mindful activity that lets little ones contribute to the festival’s celebration of spring and renewal. Feel free to bring something spring-like from your own garden to add to the Easter altars.
