Broccoli are packed full of vitamins A & C as well as a good source of iron. Delicious steamed so that they keep a crunch
White Sprouting is an excellent form of early Spring broccoli, similar to purple sprouting but with white shoots.
A real talking point at the dinner table not only for its white stems, but for the tender sweet taste which will have everyone coming back for me. A good variety to get younger kids eating their greens
What you need to know:
Each pack contains approx 350 seeds
Sowing instructions: sow outdoors in a well prepared seed bed during April/May in drills 1cm (½in) deep spaced 30cm (12in) apart.
Shoots mature in Feb-March the following year
Ideally sprouting broccoli should be covered with netting to keep the birds at bay
To avoid the danger of Clubroot grow your crop in a different site each year so that they only occupy the same spot once in four years.
