Why we love it:
  • Swiss chard is full of vitamins A & C and fibre. It can be cooked in the same way as spinach and is delicious steamed with a knob of melted butter and some nutmeg
  • Bright Lights gives a vivid display of coloured stems in classic red, white, pink, violet, green, gold, orange, yellow and some even striped!
  • The flavour is deliciously mild and packed with nutritlonal content coming to harvest about 60 days after sowing.
  • Bright Lights looks great planted with other salad leaves in our wicker patio planters

    What you need to know:
  • Each pack contains approx 90 seeds
  • Sowing instructions: Sow April-May outdoors. (28-32 weeks maturity)
  • Harvest by picking a few leaves at a time, snapping them off near the base of the plant, from several plants rather than completely stripping one plant
  • Cropping from mid-summer to late autumn. After a normal winter, it will re-emerge to give an unbelievably early spring crop.
  • RHS Award of Garden Merit
