Why we love it:
  • Corylus avellana contorta is not called the Corkscrew Hazel for nothing. Its twisted stems are much prized by flower arrangers and you'll enjoy its unusual shape during the winter months
  • You'll find it makes a stunning centre-piece for a large patio container. Alternatively it will take pride of place at the back of a border or the centre of a lawn, growing in time into a small tree

    What You Need to Know:
  • Plant Type: Very Hardy Deciduous Shrub that drops its leaves in winter
  • Flowers: Yellow catkins during the winter months
  • Max Height: 4m (12ft)
  • Max Width: 4m (12ft)
  • Position: Full sun or part shade. Will tolerate shade well & suits woodland planting
  • Soil Type: Moist free-draining

    Caring for your plant:
  • Little or no aftercare required other than removal of suckers and straight stems
