Corylus avellana contorta is not called the Corkscrew Hazel for nothing. Its twisted stems are much prized by flower arrangers and you'll enjoy its unusual shape during the winter months

You'll find it makes a stunning centre-piece for a large patio container. Alternatively it will take pride of place at the back of a border or the centre of a lawn, growing in time into a small tree

Plant Type: Very Hardy Deciduous Shrub that drops its leaves in winter

Flowers: Yellow catkins during the winter months

Position: Full sun or part shade. Will tolerate shade well & suits woodland planting
