Description
Why we love it:This beautiful variety is 45cm (18in) shorter than the 'Sensation' type of Cosmos, making it much more manageable for garden use. The strong stemmed 8cm (3in) blooms are excellent for cutting and the reduced height makes them excellent for beds, borders etc. They are lovely in containers, showing off some of the finest lacy foliage of any annual. A complete mixture of popular colours which Includes the 91 Fleuroselect award winning white.
What you need to know: Annual - last one season Flowers summer to autumn. Height 60cm (24in). Prefers full sun and free draining soil Sowing Instructions: Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep in spring at 21-24C (70-74F) in a good seed compost. Keep soil damp but not wet, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 5-10 days. Growing Instructions: When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 60cm (24in) apart.
