- Elephant Garlic is not true garlic as it is a member of the allium family that is closely linked to the leek
- It can produce bulbs which are up to 150mm across and weigh over a kilo, with each clove being bigger than a whole bulb of regular garlic
- It has many more culinary uses compared to normal garlic thanks to its sweet and mild taste
- Why not roast the garlic in olive oil to make the flesh nice and creamy or you could simply slice it up and add as a garnish or use raw in salads
