- This hardneck variety of garlic has a strong flavour making it a superb addition to all sorts of different dishes.
What you need to know:
- Fully hardy it can be planted in any soil
- Position: full sun
- Average rate of growing
- Plant Feb - April for June - Sept harvest
- Plant the cloves pointy side up, 2cm deep and 15cm apart. The subsequent rows should then be spaced at 30cm intervals
- 1 bulb can be split into several cloves - usually 4 per bulb with this variety
- When harvesting, gently lift the leaves and lay the bulbs on the soil (hopefully in the sun) to allow to ripen
- Store in a dry, light and airy position
