In this role, you’ll lead the team to be the face of our Flora Fields (dahila experience), welcoming guests, helping them make the most of their visit, and representing the spirit of Flora Fields and Webbs with pride.
 
Duties include:
  • Leading the team to ensure guests have the best Flora Fields experience.  Ensure sales and performance targets are achieved and the high standards customer service are provided.
  • Briefing guests on arrival: outline what’s on offer and proactively sell the full Flora Fields experience, including food, drink, retail and events.
  • Checking ticket types, requesting ID for seasonal passes and scanning Clubcards to process free entry where applicable.
  • Politely remind Pick Your Own guests how many dahlia stems they have paid for.
  • Providing guests with equipment such as snips or buckets
  • Advising visitors on the different dahlia varieties, how to cut them properly, and how to care for them at home (training will be provided).
  • Beautifully wrapping cut dahlias for guests to take home (training will be provided).
  • Setting up and maintaining the retail display each day, pack away stock at close.
  • Collecting picnic hampers from the kitchen, transfer chilled items to the Airstream, and serve guests their food and drink during their booking.
  • Check picnic hampers back in at the end of a visit, confirm all items are returned (flasks, blankets etc.), and process picnic deposit refunds.
  • Assisting in catering aspects of the field, taking and making drinks orders to accompany pre-ordered picnics, alongside visitors to the Riverside Gardens.
  • Take on physical, hands-on tasks including helping the grounds team with field prep, mulching, planting, and deadheading (pre-opening and when the field has opened but is closed to customers).
The successful candidate will be:
  • Experienced in leading/supervising a team whilst also being able to work in a hand on capacity.
  • Outgoing and engaging.  Be able to create genuine connections with guests.
  • Have strong selling instincts and a commercially minded approach.  Naturally spots opportunities to upsell and enhance the customer experience through thoughtful recommendations, from extra stems to food, drink, and event bookings.
  • Resourceful and adaptable.  Willing to jump into any task, whether it's chatting to guests, helping in the Airstream, or getting hands dirty in the flowerbeds.
  • Social-savvy. Encourage guests to take and share photos and video content on social media, tagging Webbs.
  • Have a creative eye.  Confident styling displays, wrapping flowers beautifully, and helping to present the site and products in a visually appealing way.
  • Observant, curious and conscientious.  Reads and digests the event brief thoroughly, takes initiative and pays close attention to detail.
Knowledge of and have a love dahlia varieties/seasonal flowers is desirable.  An interest in gardening or horticulture would be a distinct advantage.
 
This is a zero hours role with a good work life balance.  Commencing August 2025 and ending in October 2025.
 
The role is based at our store in Wychbold and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
