We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Grounds Assistant to join our team at our Wychbold garden centre.
 
Our small, friendly and busy Grounds team are responsible for maintaining and improving all outdoor areas.
 
This is a varied role.  Duties include mowing, hedge cutting, weeding, planting, pruning, tidying and operating garden machinery including a tractor (after training and subject to age) whilst also providing a friendly, cheerful service to our customers and visitors.
 
You will be working outdoors in all weathers; sun cream, sunhats and waterproofs will be provided.
 
You’ll have previous grounds/gardening experience and a keen interest in horticulture.  You’ll need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in with whatever is needed. Some manual handling will be required; training will be given.
 
This is a fixed time contract from March to September 2026. Working 37.5 hours per week.
 
The role is based at our store in Wychbold and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
