Description
Why we love it:
  • Phormium 'Golden Ray' is a very attractive form of New Zealand Flax
  • Its architectural sword-like leaves have a broad central green band surrounded by yellow stripes and thin red margins
  • During summer months huge spiked flowers can appear, followed by sturdy seed-heads
  • Easy, trouble free and fast growing, Phormium Brown Sugar may be planted in borders or containers where its arching, sword-like leaves add year round architectural interest, height and colour
  • Commonly known as the New Zealand Evergreen or New Zealand Flax, traditional phormium varieties were used by Maoris for plaiting into mats, containers and shoes
