- Part of a range of seeds produced by Mr Fothergill's in association with the Royal Horticultural Society, all of which have an Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance, RHS Aquilegia Yellow Queen is a later flowering aquilegia that is very vigorous
- Bright lemon yellow, upward-facing flowers with long spurs appear in early summer on tall stems above clumps of ferny bluish-green foliage
- The flowers are good for cutting, are fragrant, and attract butterflies, and this Aquilegia will self-seed freely
- It's a great flower to grow in sunny or partly shady borders
