What you need to know:
  • 1 x Thompson & Morgan Beetroot Alto F1 Hybrid
  • Number of Seeds: 250
  • Eventual Plant Height: Up To 30cm (11.8in)
  • Eventual Plant Spread: Up To 15cm (5.9in)
  • Hardiness & Longevity: Hardy Annual
  • Ideal For: Kitchen Garden
  • Position In: Full Sun
  • Sowing Months: February-July
  • Harvest Months: July to October
  • Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds March to July. Sow seeds thinly, 1cm deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Prefers well drained, moist, rich soil.
  • Growing Information: Thin seedlings to 5cm (2in) apart for 'baby beets' when large enough to handle, or 7cm (3in) for larger, heavier cylindrical roots.
  • Beets Can Be Stored By Lifting The Remaining Roots; Twisting Off The Tops And Storing In Boxes Of Slightly Damp Sand In A Frost-Free Shed Or Garage.
