What you need to know:
- 1 x Thompson & Morgan Viola Waterfall Mixed
- Number of Seeds: 40
- Hardiness & Longevity: Half Hardy Perennial
- Sowing Months: July-March
- Sowing Instructions: Spring sowings will give flowers during early summer, whilst summer and autumn sowings will bloom the following winter or spring. Scatter seeds across damp seed compost and lightly cover with compost or vermiculite. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 15-20C (59-68F) or seal it inside a plastic bag. Do not exclude light as this aids germination.
- Growing Information: When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow them on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When viola plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days. Over-winter autumn sowings in a cold frame then plant out the following spring.
- Viola Flowers Can Be Added To Salads Or Crystallised For Use As Cake Decorations.
