What you need to know:
  • 1 x Mr Fothergills Grass Silver Grass - Miscanthus Sinensis Early Hybrids Seeds
  • Sow: January to May
  • Flowering: August to October
  • Indoors Sowing Guide: Sow indoors for surest results, 0.5cm (1/4") deep, in trays of compost. Water well and place in a, clear plastic bag to retain humidity. Place on a windowsill, a temperature of 15-20oC (60-68oF) is ideal. Seedlings usually appear in 28-42 days. If not place tray in the refrigerator for 2 weeks, then return to the warmth. Transplant seedlings individually to 8cm (3") pots when large enough to handle. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts) before planting out 90cm (3') apart, when frosts are over.

  • Hints & Tips: Once established, mature plants can be trimmed back and divided in early spring to encourage new growth and increase your stock.
