Description
Why we love it:
  • Asplenium scolopendrium (Hart's tongue fern) is a superb evergreen fern which makes a lovely foliage plant and gives extra interest in the garden during the winter months
  • Like all hardy ferns, it adds texture and structure to the garden
  • Harts tongue fern is ideal for planting in damp shady corners, in woodland, among shrubs in a shady border or in a waterside location
  • It has leathery, strap-shaped, shiny bright green fronds up to 40cm long and these often have attractive wavy margins. It has received an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS
  • Once established it will require only a minimal amount of upkeep and so is particularly suited for gardeners who are short of time
