- Blue Danube is an early maincrop potato with stunning blue-purple skinned, oval tubers
- The white flesh has a good flavour and this potato variety is a good culinary all rounder. Larger potatoes are particularly good for baking
- 'Sarpo Blue Danube' shows moderate foliage blight resistance and excellent tuber blight resistance
What you need to know:
- Plant outdoors: from late March
- Harvest: September - October
- Protect shoots from frost if necessary by covering with a protective material such as fleece
- When plants are approximately 15cm high, draw loose soil up against stems to approximately 13cm high. Increase the height of the ridge by a further 3-5cm when the plant has grown sufficiently
