  • Evergreen shrub with stripy red, white and pink flowers
  • Height: 1.5m
  • Flowering period: Mid March to end of April
  • Hardiness: fully hardy
  • Plant in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free soil, in a sheltered site in partial or dappled shade, out of the morning sun. In cold areas plant by a sheltered wall
  • Protect from cold, dry winds and early morning sun
  • Keep plants grown in containers in a frost-free place in winter or insulate pots and move to a sheltered spot by the house
