Riverside Gardens at Wychbold

Inspiring Garden Ideas for you to recreate....
To inspire creativity and give you some ideas for your own garden we have a range of Display Gardens at Webbs, Wychbold, designed by Marigold Webb, Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal Winner. All the display gardens are open FREE to everyone.
Take a look around the Riverside Gardens – a series of themed gardens beside the River Salwarpe incorporating thousands of plants, striking features and creative landscaping designed for your enjoyment, relaxation and inspiration.

Walk through the Wisteria Walkway. In Spring this is a tunnel of flowers of differing wisteria varieties. Late flowering varieties of clematis flower along each side.
Spike the mechanical scarecrow stands guarding our raised vegetable border - the perfect way to see how veg can be grown ornamentally in a small garden.

Be amazed by the myriad of colours in the circular Spectrum Garden, showing the use of all types of garden plants in creating bold blocks of colour. The Spectrum Garden starts with red on the left, and continues in a clockwise direction through pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and back to purple.
Also in the Garden:

Potentillas on the move!

As many of you know we've held the national collection of shrubby potentillas in the Riverside Gardens for many a year now.  Ten years down the line and many of the collection were starting to get a little frail with age.
Fear not.  They will return.  We have spent the last two years repropagating the collection and they are now ready for planting.  However we felt they needed new homes to showcase their beauty.  Over the coming months we will be replanting the area with a new shrubarium to show the wide and varied uses and seasonal interest of shrubs in general, which will include some varieties of potentilla.  The vast majority of the remaining varieties will be located in new fresh beds in the picnic area and other areas of the Riverside Gardens

We're proud to be part of the National Gardens Scheme - look us up in the yellow book or through their website: http://www.ngs.org.uk/gen/default.aspx
