We have a great opportunity for an experience Warehouse Manager to support the Store Manager with the smooth day to day running of goods in, picking/packing, despatch and transport operations.
 
We are seeking an exceptionally strong people manager, who has extensive warehousing experience and a diligent process control way of thinking.
 
The successful candidate will have specific responsibility for the goods in, picking/packing and transport teams, which includes internal order picking, stock movements, putting stock away, delivering stock to the shopfloor and customers, and checking in stock against deliveries, all using a combination of mobile and digital technology to drive productivity improvements and stock accuracy. Safe lifting and moving of stock are essential as are maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
 
Skill and experience requirements are as follows:
  • Well organised planner with an understanding of warehouse management principles.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to learn quickly and experience of putting new procedures in place to improve service to internal and external customers, stock accuracy and process efficiency.
  • People management and coaching.  A confident leader and able to delegate tasks, motivate individuals to improve and drive team performance.
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • Administratively strong and IT literate.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in a Warehouse environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Qualified FLT driver (Bendi and Counterbalance), would be advantageous.
 
This is a permanent position, an average 37.5 hours per week working 5 days in 7, which includes alternative weekends. It’s a flexible rota which will be provided at least two weeks in advance.
