Duties include:
- Helping to load lorries with correct orders, ensuring the loads are safely and carefully packed.
- Deliver goods to our customers in and around our local area and in line with our delivery calendar.
- Manage multidrop deliveries on a mobile phone, so experience of using a smart phone is a must.
- Deliver goods to our other three stores (West Hagley, Cheltenham and Frilford) so a positive and collaborative team approach is required.
- Responsible for keeping the van clean and tidy and complete routine vehicle inspections. Smoking is not permitted the vehicle.
- Work within the warehouse team, helping to move and safely store our diverse product ranges, during quieter delivery times.
- Valid 7.5t category C1 driving licence.
- Valid CPC and Digi Card.
- Proven experience as a 7.5t multidrop driver.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.
- A good level of physical fitness. Experience of manual handling and the ability to lift and move heavy/bulky items.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize delivery routes.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
In accordance with GB medical standards and subject to age, you will be required to undertake a medical at regular intervals. Licence checks will also be completed.
This is a full time permanent role with a good work life balance. Working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. This will include occasional weekends.
