We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor (ER & Payroll) to join our Human Resources department, reporting to the Head of HR and People. 
 
The Senior HR Advisor will engage and support key stakeholders at all levels in the business with a strong customer focus and a desire to create an exceptional employee experience. The HR team role models our values of Genuine, Caring and Experts.
 
HR:
  • Attend disciplinary, grievance, appeals and other meetings as advisor, witness and notetaker.
  • Provide support for TUPE, restructures and acquisitions.
  • Coordinate the annual colleague survey, run feedback reports, set up interim pulse surveys.
  • All HR reporting including monthly HR metrics for Board Report.
  • Support Community, Environment and Wellbeing activities.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects and people plans.
  • Provide generalist HR administration in line with the employee lifecycle.
 
Pay, rewards & benefits
  • Liaise with the outsourced payroll provision to ensure payroll is produced accurately and on time.
  • Deal with internal and external telephone queries.
  • Prepare data for NMW, salary review, bonus and gender pay reporting purposes.
  • Organise Long Service Award gifts and celebrations.
  • Contribute to the organisation of colleague events including our annual awards ceremony.
 
This role requires exceptional planning and organisational skills and an eye for detail, with a numerate, accurate approach.
 
It will suit a positive people person who enjoys the challenge of a high volume, varied, generalist HR workload. A wider interest in HR is important to allow innovation and contribution to wider HR projects around resourcing, learning and development, employee engagement, wellbeing and digitalisation.
 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a HR generalist role and have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
 
The role is based at our store in Wychbold, Worcestershire and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
 
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 39.5 hours per week. Core hours are 8.30 – 5:00 with a 30-minute lunch break each day and a 4:30pm finish on Fridays. Some flexibility can be agreed around these hours.
