We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our Warehouse at our Millets Farm store.
 
Reporting to the Assistant Store Manager, duties include but not limited to:
  • Overall management of the warehouse, yard and outer buildings, ensuring that it is always as safe as possible to minimise risk to colleagues or stock.
  • Ensuring that all safe working practices and health and safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Managing staff rotas, working hours, absence and holiday requests.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed as per company guidelines.
  • Working with supplier deliveries to unload and check in goods in a timely manner.
  • Report and investigate any anomalies or issues with deliveries. 
  • Close monitoring of stock control and management.
  • Overseeing local customer deliveries direct from store.
  • Support ongoing store communications ensuring team members are aware of all planned activities, new or amended procedures and any other relevant information.
  • Working closely with Garden Centre team during bi-annual stock takes.
  • Maintenance of the company delivery vehicle, booking in for annual service, Mot, tyre checks etc.
 
The successful candidates must have:
  • Experience of supervising teams, manual handling, loading and unloading vehicles, receipting and despatching stock and accurate stock recording abilities.
  • Good IT and administration skills are essential as you'll be using our systems to control stock.
  • A valid counterbalance forklift truck licence.
 
This is a full time and permanent position, working on average 39.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota. This involves working 4 weekdays plus every alternate weekend (you would work 4 days one week and have one weekday plus the weekend off, then you work 6 days the following week, including both weekend days).
 
The role is based at our store in Frilford and so you must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
