Description
Why we love it:
  • It's easy to see why ferox species of holly is called the hedgehog holly with its minute spines decorating the leaves
  • Ferox Aurea is a particularly attractive form where the gold centred leaves contrast well with purple stems
  • Whilst hedehog hollies are male forms, they won't pollinate with other female forms of holly. However their slow growth makes them ideal for low hedges or container plants
