Why we love it:

Originating in the eastern Mediterranean Silver Squills enjoy damp conditions in Spring, but prefer warm, dry weather in Summer

They are trouble-free and can be planted in a rock garden, but also in large drifts in grass where they will quickly naturalise themselves if mowing is left until early June

What you need to know:

Height: 20cm, Spread 5cm

Flowers:Silver blue from March to April

Hardiness: Fully Hardy, but dies down over winter

Position: Prefers full sun in free-draining soil
Caring for your plants:

Little or no aftercare required

Plant bulbs in late Autumn

Add compost or leaf-mould before planting
